FreezPak

About this project

FreezPak is a 107,000 square foot cold storage facility. The Elizabethtown, NJ facility is FreezPak's first to be designed with an automated storage & retrieval system (ASRS). Facility will be equipped with 12 robots that will automatically store and retrieve frozen product. The concrete used in this project rivals the technology found in the ASRS.

Featuring state of the art DUCTILCRETE® robotic retrieval machines will have safe passage over a fmin80 superflat floor. Turner Brothers has the capability to handle the design, batching, and delivery of the DUCTILCRETE® floor system, which requires less sawcuts, and does not curl like a typical slab. When executed correctly the result is a flatter, more durable floor that requires less maintenance, with a flatter surface for forklifts, pallet jacks, and in this case, robots, to travel. The demands of an fmin80 floor add complexities to the installation process, with the sensitive DUCTILCRETE® mix. Turner Brothers was able to thrive under these specifications and conditions, delivering the floor system that exceeded the expectations of the design team.
