Turner Brothers is looking for an experienced concrete construction superintendent to oversee construction projects in

New Jersey.  The role involves ensuring safety, quality, adherence to schedule, and budget management. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a strong, successful, and highly-respected team.

Job Functions :

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to manage project budgets, general conditions, track field costs, and review subcontractor change orders, specifically for tilt-up concrete projects.
  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings to determine requirements and plan procedures.
  • Supervise, schedule, and coordinate subcontractor work activities and material deliveries, with a focus on tilt-up concrete operations.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive site logistics plan throughout all phases of work.
  • Maintain a high level of quality control through frequent and regular inspections of work in progress.
  • Complete all reports and records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety and insurance policies, protocols, and OSHA compliance.
  • Analyze subcontractor production, manpower requirements, and direct work to maintain the project schedule.
  • Conduct and participate in safety, quality, and subcontractor progress meetings.

 

Qualifications :

  • Proficiency in managing commercial projects, encompassing design, general engineering principles, construction techniques, industry standards, materials, and work sequencing.
  • Dedication to cultivating a robust construction safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and safety plans.
  • Familiarity with the permitting process and its role in project inspections, closeout procedures, and other relevant aspects.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for tilt-up concrete projects, coupled with a strong work ethic.
  • Genuine commitment to client satisfaction.
  • Possession of strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, multitasking, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Competence in computer usage for tasks such as emails, daily reporting, construction scheduling, and utilizing Procore.
  • Mandatory completion of 30-hour OSHA certification training.

 

 

            Experience :

 

  • 7 years of commercial construction project supervision
  • Concrete tilt-up construction experience.
  • Site construction experience.

 

Physical Demands :

  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Talk or hear with others on the jobsite and via phone/computer communications.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

 

Work Environment :

The Superintendent will be always at the worksite whenever work or testing is being performed. The worksite environment is constantly changing and may include extreme weather.
